Ms. Shalini Sharma has been associated with B.D. Somani International School since 2014. Her teaching career spans twenty years, having worked across schools offering different curriculums and affiliations.
After an enriching school experience at Convent of Jesus and Mary, New Delhi, she completed her Masters Degree in History from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University, and pursued Bachelors in Education from Loretto College, Calcutta University. She is a certified assessor of the ‘Tata Excellence Education Program” and has completed several training courses in the IBDP and IGCSE curriculum.
In her journey at B.D. Somani International School, she has been associated with key academic and administrative responsibilities, such as, IBDP and IGCSE History teacher, TOK teacher, Junior and Senior Student Council coordinator, HoD of Group 3, IGCSE coordinator, and currently as the Deputy Principal (interim) of Secondary School. These roles have helped her develop competence in aligning the aims and objectives of Cambridge International and International Baccalaureate programs, as offered at B.D.Somani. She firmly believes in the school’s mission of “nurturing and developing the potential of each of our students…to become dynamic and productive members of a democratic and interdependent society.”
Her passion is to inculcate among students the attributes of an inquirer, a risk taker and a reflective learner to achieve academic excellence and a positive school experience. She enjoys collaborating with the team of dedicated professionals at the school and striving together in providing best in class education and processes at B.D.Somani.
