The Design Lab in school provides a hands-on, creative space for students to design, experiment, build and invent as they deeply engage in science, art, and engineering. The lab is stocked with materials ranging from low-tech items such as craft paper, modeling clay, scrap corrugated paper, apart from high-tech equipment including 3-D printers, a laser-cutter, electronic kits, and carpentry tools.

Students in Design and Technology (middle school) have been working on several projects in the lab including – designing medals, clocks, utility tools, tiny homes, roller-coasters, games, etc. We have recently completed a project using the laser cutter and will soon begin one using Arduino and the 3D printer. Come visit the lab – learn to make something new!
